What a pretty bouquet! Several generations back, my Irish ancestors — Deyarmons, Paxtons, and Crowleys — came to this country. I still have my gr-gr-grandfather Crowley’s fife, that he carried in the Civil War.

Our students in the floral design course made these! So pretty. Wow, the fife- what a keepsake! My maternal great grandfather was from Ireland as the story goes. I never met him but I wish I could have!

Good morning Linda! Say, I was wondering yesterday if you’d ever written anything about that fife, or your gr-grfather Crowley? If so, I would love to hear more…nudge nudge. 😉

I have, at least obliquely. Do a search of my blog for ‘Crowley’ and you’ll turn up a few.

It’s gorgeous! I have a few students in the floral design course so I’ve been ordering the arrangements this year for my mom and to support the program. All of their designs have been awesome!
